dont toss your grapefruit rinds onto the compost pile. they make great traps for cutworms. just scrape out the insides and set the rinds around the garden in the evening. when you go out in the morning, the bugs will be clustered up inside and you can scoop them out or pick up the whole thing and throw it away, squish them or burn them. also when youre on a search and destroy mission, be sure to dig about 2 inches under the soil-they hide there, especially early in the morning.

That sounds like it is better than using those chemicals that are unhealthy for the Earth, but then again I try not to use them and use an alternative method.
