I think that all animals have that right to choice their life span over a person coming out of no where just to kill them for food or to keep their bodies warm.
Absolutely. We take away too much of their living environment, just so we can have unneeded luxury. Man will knock down a forest full of trees if they think it's a good place for a new
condominium complex and a shopping mall.
I agree and I remember when, I think I was still in high school when this happened, they were trying to destroy the Amazon Rain Forest for something I really do not remember the whole story,
but I know that it became a big deal because it was just to much of the trees being cut down and animals being left without a home.
Just because we have more intelligence doesn't mean we have the right to destroy their living environment. Don't be trashy and then say it's ok....that just makes you sound stupid.
I think we all are entitled to our opinion, but I agree Pink it does make you sound stupid. Plus, destroying because we are bigger and more intelligent is stupid.
if I have to decide between runnig over a person or a dog with my car because both of them are in the middle of the road, poor dog. And I wouldn´t get in trouble for running over a dog. So
they don´t have the same rights. And I like it that way
We're not speaking of animals being run over by vehicles. We are mainly speaking of the animals and their environment. That is what her group is about...the planet/environment.
Of course any human would choose another human if they were placed in that situation with a vehicle, that's just obvious.
im a vegetarian [soon to be a vegan:my '09 resolution] and proud of it. when you're as passionate as i am about justice and peace and well-being to all, there's just no other way to be. i
know this group is about the planet and all living things ARE the planet, so just check your facts and reaaly think about things. the way i see it, cows and cats, pigs and parakeets, dogs and
chikens, are all just the same. i wouldent just slaughter my cat and eat it would i? so why would i do that to a cow? or chicken? or pig? thats all i ask of people: throw off the cloak of
ignorance, face the facts and make a good 'ol educated choice. to eat or not to eat?
My opinion is yes I do feel that animals do have rights. I love animals and I think that people tend to forget that every living thing in this world is connected. You can't destroy an
environment that supports a living creature and then want to destroy that creature when it becomes a nuisance or interferes in your life someway. Everything needs to coexist for a healthy
world. For a lot of people I think it is just easier to say "It's just an animal..." But also in loving animals you don't want to go so far that you would put animal rights above human rights
either. I think it is easy for people to get carried away on both ends of the spectrum.
Just my thoughts anyway.
I am so glad that everybody is strong about their opinion and I agree with you ilovetwilight. I think that is great that you are becoming a vegan. I hope that it all works out for you.
I eat a vegan diet (except i eat honey) and trying to find alternatives for most of my fashion choices, but I draw the line with rodents, snakes, and insects. I'm sure they are part of God's
plan for the cosmos but I do not care for there well being. Ick.
That is cool because we all our entitled to our own opinion, but personally I think that all of God creation should have a choice of their own in their own well being and not humans making
that choice for them.

9that is true, but still either way it is sad for both the dog or person if either got ran over.

11Sorry, I was just giving my opinion. I don´t know why I had the option to say no if that was not an option. I didn´t want to intrude.
